JOSÉ MARIA CORDOBA PARK
The main gathering spot for tourists in town, this square-shaped park houses the statue of Division General José Maria Cordoba, a beloved son of Concepción, born here in 1799.
IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH
The town’s only church was built in 1814, although the parish existed since 1774. It features a classic three-nave structure with supporting columns and a beautiful central altar.
COBBLED STREETS
The town’s most beautiful feature is undoubtedly its charming old cobbled streets. Preserving their original structure, each house maintains its colors and doors.
JOSÉ MARIA CORDOBA CULTURE HOUSE MUSEUM
This small but beautiful museum features, among other things, a stunning mural depicting General José Maria Cordoba’s Battle of Ayacucho. Inside, visitors can enjoy its lovely courtyard, while outside they can explore the charming plaza with the bust of Colonel Salvador Cordoba. Currently, the museum also houses the town’s very useful library.
ALTO DE LA VIRGEN
It is one of the most spectacular viewpoints in Concepción, ideal for panoramic photographs, with an elevation of 130 meters above the urban area. After 123 steps and 27 curves, you can enjoy the beautiful panorama of our municipality.
